Report from Eldey: As good weather continued entire afternoon we rushed up to look for dolphins where we left them this morning. It was long way so to kill time we were watching birds and thanks to that we found a whale! While taking look at diving cormorants we saw a dark body coming out of the water on our 9 o'clock. It was a humpback whale traveling across the bay with constant speed. We were hoping to see the tail but this individual was not keen to show it. Our excitement was also cooled down by sudden hail/rain/snow storm and after few minutes we were soaking. Luckily, it last only 10 minutes and soon Sun came up and weather improved. Humpback was still on our left side when pod of 3-4 harbour porpoises appeared on our right and further in distance also a minke whale was spotted. What a day, 4 species in total and 3 in one trip!

Report from Eldey: What an extraordinary day. Finally, weather gave us a break and we enjoyed fantastic views from the bay and we had a great sailing experience. It took us a while to reach the area where the activity was (literally in the middle of the bay) but once we got there, everything started to happen. We found two pods of harbour porpoises, roughly 5-7 individuals in total, and 2 pods of white-beaked dolphins, with 10-12 individuals. They were the star of our show as they swam nicely and closely to our boat and we could see 3-4 little calves in the group and 2 well-known individuals, Sophie and Columbo, what a duo! It was a special day for one of our passengers too as she was turning 28, so happy birthday to Antonia. Hope you all have enjoyed the tour as much as the crew.
