Tour at 13:00

In the beginning of the tour we had really nice weather, even the sun came out and the sea was calm. Just a few minutes after we left the harbour in Keflavík we spotted the first Humpback Whale! It seemed to be busy feeding on the herring that stays close to the coast in this area. Planning its next moves while logging, it went for deep dives a lot. We decided to leave this animal in peace soon, because we already spotted a second Humpback Whale!!! This one was even closer to the coast than the first one and also feeding on fish. He showed us the fluke a lot and came really close to the boat, not more than five meters away. As the weather was changing in the end of the tour and we had a lot of snow again, we decided to go back to the harbour. Once more a fascinating experience with Humpback Whales in Faxaflói Bay!!!

Tour at 9:00

We started this tour in a bit of wind from Keflavík today. Soon we found a small pod of White-beaked Dolphins. They did not stop for long so we headed further out. We had a snow storm, hail, sun, then hail again and then snow storm, all in one tour! Iceland was sure showing us how fast the weather can change! We searched for a long time without any luck. We were a little bit surprised because our fish finder showed us we had lots of fish in the area! Then on the way home almost in the harbour we saw a humpback whale!! Finally! This whale was showing us the fluke many times and surfacing close to the boat! Brilliant end of a very unique tour!
