Report from Eldey: The conditions were really nice today when we were sailing out this afternoon with sunshine and only a little, but cold wind. Not even after one hour of sailing we saw a big flock of birds in the distance and when we arrived there, we were surrounded by many white-beaked dolphins once more. It must have been at least 3 different pods, the one we spent most time with had 5-6 individuals. They were feeding and it is just so much fun to watch them change direction, ecstatically leap out of the water and dive all around the boat. After around half an hour we continued our search for wildlife in the bay and spotted a minke whale after a while. Everybody who was on the top deck could get some good looks of the individual, but it turned out to be a bit elusive so that we only saw it surfacing 4 times before it vanished. On our way back we encountered many more white-beaked dolphins including one pod of 4-5 that we stayed with for our final remaining time. A superb afternoon out with many hungry dolphins.

Report from Eldey:It was a nice day sailing out into the bay, not too rough, very little wind and even some sun to warm our faces. It didn't take us very long at all to find cetaceans today. Just 30 minutes after leaving the harbour we were busy watching the wonderful white-beaked dolphins. They put on a marvelous show for us today, coming up only meters from the boat, swimming right underneath us and even leaping out of the water! During this encounter we saw at least five pods each composing of 5-8 individuals each. After this amazing encounter it was decided we should move out further into the bay to see if there was another animals to check out. We searched for some time and eventually found another pod of 5-6 white-beaked dolphins, who surfaced multiple time all around the boat. An individual located 150 meters away then started breaching! This is where they leap out of the water completely, spin in the air and then come down with a fantastic splash! what an incredible tour!
