Tour at 17:00
Still sunshine weather when we headed out to our last tour for today. After we reached the whale watching area we spotted a Minke Whale that we could follow for some time. We also spotted the Harbour Porpoises again, quite a big pod this evening. Then we headed further out and spotted another Minke Whale just surfacing a few times. But in the end we saw a Mike Whale really close to the boat, only 20 meters away. Really good tour and beautiful weather!
Tour at 13:00
The weather was beautiful when we headed out this afternoon, calm sea and sunny. It took us some time to find the first whale despite the good conditions. Then finally one minke whale surfaced in front of us. We followed the whale until we spotted a small pod of harbour porpoises. They were very nice, surfacing close to the boat. Further out we found white-beaked dolphins and spent the rest of the time with them. Then, on the way back to the harbour a minke whale showed up close to the boat. Very nice tour. Birds seen on tour. Gannets, puffins, fulmars, guillemots and gulls.
