Tour at 13:00 Report from Hafsúlan: What a day in both weather and whales. We sailed out from Reykjavík in beautiful weather, sun shining, calm seas, blue skies and great visability so we could see all the way to Snæfellsjökull. We headed towards the area where whales were seen the day before and was expecting about a hours sailing before seeing anything but to our surprise we found two Humpback Whales very close, no more than 30 minutes from the harbour which was great because we could spend longer with them. Looking at the fishfinder on board we saw fish from 2m from the surface to the bottom which was 34m deep. The humpback were obviously feeding by the way they were behaving (changing direction constantly, diving frequently and surfacing frequently, rolling and even one time we saw one lunge out of the water mouth wide open just 10-20 meters from the boat. Both also showed their tails many times. Whilst watching these two we could see another in the distance closer to land, so we wanted to also say hello to that one too. Once we got to the area we noticed their were two. All in all 4 Humpback Whales seen on todays tour. What a Day!!

Birds seen on todays tour include; Kittiwakes, Fulmars, Eider Ducks and Cormorants
