Today we will be operating on our lovely vessel Eldey for the 13:00 Classic Whale Watching tours. Make sure to dress appropriately for the tours as it is always colder on sea than on land.

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00

Report from Eldey: Cold tour but with a great weather. The north east wind was not that strong anymore and we could go out after a few days cancelled. The sea conditions were actually excellent and the visibility as well, allowing us to admire both south and north peninsula. We spotted a blow and went there trying to see the animal that produced it, and find out it was a humpback whale. The whale was going for long dives of 8 minutes before coming back to breath 4-5 times. This beautiful animal showed its tail going for several fluke dives during the tour and we could have quite a close vew on it. After a while we did not see this humpback anymore so we headed south and then back to Reykjavik with a great light on the mountains.
