Report from Eldey: While the wind slightly increased compared to the morning tour, it also changed direction. Now blowing from the South, it allowed us to explore Northward, and after leaving from Hafnafjordur our journey eventually ended back in Reykjavik. The weather was as changing as it gets in Iceland, alternating between snow; sunlight, hailing and a bit of fog. The periods of sunshine provided a very impressive scenery! The waves were colored with light blue while being capped with white foam. If the strong wind was challengingly cold, having a bright sun with it is not so common at this time of the year, and made for a landscape quite atypical. Still, no cetaceans were found in our time out at sea, so everybody willing to give it another shot could pick up a complimentary ticket.

Report from Eldey: We departure this morning from Hafnafjordur as the seastate was much better from that part of the bay. We sailed all the way around the north part of Reykjaness exploring the waters of Faxafloi. In our way to the southernmost part of the bay, our boat was used by the "hitchhickers" birds that followed us during half of the way. We enjoyed a smooth ride, especially in the way back, and we could contemplate a huge bird-diversity. However, we couldn't´t find any cetaceans during the trip so we offered our passengers complimentary tickets so they can try once again to discovers the mysteries of Faxafloi.

This will result in a slightly longer tour, or between 4-5 hrs. and could impact COMBO tours.
