Report from Eldey: Although the wind increased a little bit, we nonetheless enjoyed most of our afternoon tour under the sun! This made a good background to encounter 2 or 3 pods of white-beaked dolphins barely 40 minutes after departure! Just like this morning, they were super hungry and busy fishing. It was about 20 individuals, and we were not too sure if it was 2 or 3 different pods feeding in the same area. The pods were scattered, and individuals moving around too much to be able to get a clear idea. But this how we love it! We kept our distance to try to not disrupt any natural behaviour but it was the dolphins that eventually came to us and put up quite the show! Once we had our fill of dolphins, we explored the bay hoping to find other species. On the way back we came across the same dolphins feeding, and got a little bonus before getting back to Reykjavik.

Report from Eldey: When we were ready to leave the harbour the sky had cleared and we sailed out with the wind on our back. The sea was nice and calm making for good conditions to spot cetaceans. We headed towards our best spotting area and found, after a short time, a big flock of seabirds feeding together with 3-4 pods of white-beaked dolphins. Showing obvious feeding behaviour, making fast movements and a lot of splashes. We could watch the show for quite some time until we decided to sail further and look for some more wildlife. After another half an hour we spotted some more dolphins. This was even more fun, as some came in for a very close look, jumping out of the water so that we could clearly see why they are called "white-beked". Some more came for a bowride and stayed for a really long time very close. Even a mother with calf could be spotted close to the boat. A total of  20-30 individuals where seen on this tour, giving us lots of possibilities to take pictures and videos.
