Tour at 13:00

We started the tour by spotting a nice group of harbour porpoises. Then when we got to the area where we had spent the morning we couldn't find any whales. Strange. We searched for a long while until we finally found two minke whales. But both only came up once to breathe and then went immediately down for a deep dive. The same thing happened with a third whale. But nature can be like that. At least we saw many many birds and lots of puffins, even though it is still April.

Tour at 9:00

We went to the area where we often spot whales, although we haven't spotted so many there the last weeks. Once we were there we found many feeding birds and several minke whales. With most of them people had to be quick to spot them but at least two of the whales surfaced several times just in front of the boat. By the end of the tour we had surely seen as many as ten minke whales and maybe four or five of them had come close to the boat! Well, we know now that the minke whales are back!
