Report from Eldey: It was a fun ride! It was very windy but as it was first moments of blowing sea surface was not affected so it wasn't rough at all. After many days of "easy" whale watching it was nice and adventurous to be back in old game. We couldn't find whale where it was yesterday, strong wind together with snow and hail - we had a real challenge to find something. We took a ride between islands and when nothing was happening there we made a second loop. We were sailing against wind, barely seeing whale watching boats around because of the snow. What a surprise and how exciting it was to be first ones to spot a blow! We came closer and we had whale of a time. Humpback whale went for a dive, showing the tail and came back on our 3 o'clock. Soon more boats joined and we were watching for a while from a distance. But when everyone was watching in one direction we saw that whale moved away and again we were lucky as whale surfaced, showing his snout and tail, on our 1 o'clock. We defenitely had the best seats for today's show. With strong wind it wasn't easy to follow or to enjoy watching this animal but even our guest who didn't dare to came outside enjoyed views from cozy indoor saloons. All of us had happy (and cold) faces when we were back in Reykjavik.
