Tour at 13:00

This afternoon we started out by visiting Akurey where the Puffins live during the summer. Some of them were sitting at the surface around the island and others were flying but not many on the island itself. We then headed out. The wind was behind us so the ride out to Faxaflói was very nice and smooth. Twice a Minke Whale was spotted but only for a brief second since they didn't surface again and only few of us saw it. We went pretty far out but despite that and the effort we didn't spot any whales that we could actually watch. The way back was a bit rough since we had the wind in our faces. Complimentary tickets were offered again but we are always optimistic and hopefully, tomorrow will bring us better luck.

The weather was very nice, calm sea and cloudy when we headed out from Reykjavík this morning. We sailed by the puffin island Lundey and there were only few puffins at home. Out in the bay we crossed a large area searching for whales but there was no sign of them, and very little bird live. Despite our best efforts we had no luck with the whales today so we offered our passengers some complimentary tickets.
