Tour at 17:00: CANCELLED
Tour at 13:00
Report from Eldey: The tour started sunny and we had rather strong winds coming from the west, but later some light rain mixed into this. After sailing out for a while we saw a blow coming up twice, not too far from the boat. However, we could not locate the animal creating this blow and kept going after some time. We were already heading back to the harbour, when another blow stopped us in our tracks. This time we got to see the minke whale responsible for it. It was Tap, an individual we first saw in the bay in 2007. He surfaced a few times around the boat, before he vanished. But as this was the only sighting of the tour, we decided to give our passengers complimentary tickets, so they can try their luck on another tour.

Report from Eldey: Winter is coming! Every day more and more mountains are cover with snow and it was cold, windy and rainy morning but what happened in the bay recompensated us bad weather. We sailed towards our favorite location and as soon as we start seeing birds we slowed down and next what we saw was a pod of around 15 white-beaked dolphins. They were feeding, spreading in the area probably to herd some fish. There was many sea birds flying close by to the fishing boat so we went there to investigate. When we were watching show of northern gannets plunge diving we spotted 3 minke whales. Minkes were also feeding so they were coming to the surface without any pattern making watching them more challenging but by following birds we could keep our eyes on a correct spot.
