Tour at 17:00

Report from Hafsúlan: We sailed out again from Keflavík but ended our tour in Reykjavík so even though it was a bit windy day we had the wind in back on the way so the sailing was pretty smooth. After sailing for a long while we saw a big dark back coming out from the sea close to the boat but only this one time and there fore we could not identify the animal and only few passengers saw it. We sailed on an were suprised when we saw  White Beaked Dolphins swimming under the surface rigth next to the boat and then going under the vessel. But they too were only seen this one time. We saw a lot of seabirds like Northern Gannets, Lesser Blacked Backed and Manx Shearwater on this tour but no more whales. Since we really want our passengers to see the best that Faxaflói bay has to offer we gave them complimentary tickets so the can all come again with us for free.

Tour at 13:00

Report from Hafsúlan: We sailed out from the harbour in Keflavík to get some shelter from the strong wind that was in the bay today. It was a nice suprice to sail out, the sea was relatively calm and the wind not too bad! So we headed out, with a nice view of Reykjanes on one side and a beautiful rainbow on the other. We had to sail for a while before we spotted a dark back coming out of the sea very close to the boat! This turned out to be a Minke Whale, it surfaced often and sometimes quite close to the boat. We staied with the animal as long as we could before it was time for us to head back to the harbour in Keflavík.  This tour was a nice suprice with fine weather for an Icelandic fall and a lovely Minke Whale as well!

Unfortunately we have to cancel our 9'clock tour due to strong winds on the bay. Please contact our ticket office if  there is anything we can help you with.
