Tour at 13:00
Report from Eldey: Today, our adventure at sea was definitely arctic! We reached a real feel temperature of -15 degrees Celsius, so it's as cold as it gets! We had our nice windproof overalls to fight off the cold, and we were blessed with sunlight during all the tour. So the ride was cold but exceptionably gorgeous! It didn't take long before finding white-beaked dolphins, we found a feeding pod of 12-15 individuals. It took some time though for the pod to feel comfortable with us. At first they seemed to be feeding, then they headed westward on a steady pace. They were not swimming specifically away from us but they were not waiting either. We followed from a respectful distance for about half an hour, when they finally turned their attention on us. From there we got glorious sightings! They were surfacing all around the boat! At first it was hard to take pictures as they were fast, but gradually they slowed down and surfaced less than 50m away from the boat. Picture time was then! Patience worked, and we had a brilliant time until we had to go back home.
