Tour at 1300
Once again we departed from Keflavík and ended the tour in Reykjavík. It was a long long tour but we really wanted to stay out a bit longer and search from these whales were ever they may be. We eventually got to the area where we saw Minke Whales and a Humpback Whale yesterday morning, we had high hopes for this area as the journey there was uneventful. We saw birds sitting on the surface and then suddenly a Minke Whale surfaced just in front. It was quite far away and unfortunetly it didn´t surface again as we got closer. We waited in this area for a while but no luck. We headed further offshore a while and then suddenly one of teh passengers shouted 1 o'clock. It was a Minke Whale and one we knew very well called Megan which was seen in April 2010, May 2011 and April and May 2012. He or She was great surfacing slowly meters from the boat and many times too. Thank You Megan The Minke Whale. We didn´t see anything else after Megan on the way back to Reykjavík harbour except the beautiful scenery, wind in your hair and sun on your face.

We departed from Keflavík today to make the journey that much nicer for our passengers as the wind and swells wouldn´t of been so nice if we went from Reykjavik. It was our only option and the land shelted alot of the wind and swell. There were three Whale Watching vessels going out from this harbour this morning and we all went to different areas. We got word from our sister vessel Elding that was further offshore of a Minke Whale, so off we went. Once we got there they told us that the whale had not been seen for a while. We waited and waited but unfortunelty no whale and none for the rest of the tour too. No cetaceans seen but lovely weather, beautiful scenery and many birds including Gannets, Fulmars, Kittiwakes, Puffins, Guillemots, Razorbills and other species of seagull. Complimentary tickets were given to come with us again.
