Report from Hafsúlan: We sailed out from Reykjavík old harbour, It was beautiful with the falling snow and spare blue skies. The hidden low lying sun coloured some of the clouds a orangy reddy hue which was beautiful. We sailed in good sea conditions except from a rolling swell that caused quite a few green faces. Of course if you are susceptible to sea sickness it is beneficial to ask for a free sea sickness tablet early on or even better in the office when buying the ticket. Many enjoyed to boat ride and the whale punch (hot chocolate with rum that can be purchased at the bar). It was nice sailing but alas once again no whale, dolphins or porpoises where seen. It is getting very upsetting for us at the moment the lack of wildlife but we will keep checking new areas and communicating to fishing boats and others about their observations. We at Elding really hope things will pick up soon. We offered our passengers complimentary tickets in the hope they come back in the next two years and have much better luck.
