Tour at 13:00

Report from Hafsúlan: Today we decided to sail out from Reykjavík. As we headed out Faxaflói they bay was a bit windy but sea conditions were fine. The sky was pretty clear and we got an excellent look of the landscape around us. After a short sailing we saw a flock of Northern gannets, kittiwakes and gulls feeding in one spot. We slowed down our sailing and hoped to see some cetaceans feeding along with the birds but they didn't seem to be present so we continued our sailing. On our way back to Reykjavík the wind got a lot heavier and the ocean got very choppy. Most passengers were wearing the waterproof overalls provided on board so the occasional splash from the waves around us didn't seem to be much of a bother. Many passengers also had their free seasickness tablet before we sailed off so there were not to many green faces. As we approached Reykjavík harbour we handed out complimentary tickets to our passengers since we didn't see any cetaceans on today's tour. Hopefully they will all return and have a better luck next time!
