✔ CLASSIC WHALE TOUR ON SCHEDULE | 09:00

Report from Elding : Like yesterday the sky was covered by thick clouds and a strong wind was coming from the south. We expected a rough sea and it was a bit more calm than we thought. It was still choppy with some swell. We saw 2 minke whales during the tour. One in the beginning that we could see surfacing during a while. And one almost in the end when we where much down south that surfaced very close to the boat but disappeared very fast. We also saw a white beaked dolphin jumping with big splashes. We approached and saw that this dolphin was alone. It was circling a bit around our boat and then we lost it. Hopefully it went back to its pod. We saw 2 more white beaked dolphin in the very end but we had to head back to Reykjavik.

✔ CLASSIC WHALE TOUR ON SCHEDULE | 13:00

Report from Elding : This afternoon was very similar than this morning, with maybe a bit stronger wind, a little bit of rain and a little bit of sun giving t the water a beautiful blue colour. We headed south and observed many northern gannets. We crossed first 2 harbour porpoise and a few minutes later a group of 5-6 white-beaked dolphins. They did not look interested about our boat but passed very close to us so we could have a good sighting. They were probably feeding and quickly moved away. We continued and many times thought we found a minke whale but never could confirm it. We found another pod of 8 white-beaked dolphin with at least two small calves. They came very close to our boat a few time. It looked like they were feeding but at the same time curious about our boat and coming at a few meters of the bow a few times. We had to go back and left without seeing any baleen whale so we gave to our passengers a complimentary ticket to give them the opportunity to try one more time an adventure experience with us in Reykjavik, or in Akureyri.
