Tour at 13:00

The wind had died down a little which was nice but the whales were still quite difficult until, nearer to the end of the tour when one Humpback came to check us out maybe asking us to help him as he was being harassed by a pod of Harbour Porpoises. It was good for us though as the porpoises let us know where the humpback whale was going to surface. We got some lovely tail photographs too as the Humpbacks headed back down towards the ocean floor which wasn't that deep, only 30-35 meters. The Minke Whales were the hardest to observe today as I kept missing them but the passengers where having fun shouting 2 o'clock, 11 o'clock, blow 12 o'clock and as long as the passengers were seeing them I was happy.

Tour at 9:00

Again another great day to be out at sea. The weather was wonderful even though quite windy out offshore were the whales were. Today we got to see the usual species Humpback Whale, Minke Whales and Harbour Porpoises. It was even our 5th day of seeing a breaching Humpback. It was far in the distance but the lovely Humpie did it many times so everyone got to see it and especially well if you had a pair of binoculars or a good zoom lens. All the whales were a bit difficult though because they were surfacing only once or twice which made it difficult to point them out but there was a lot of them so everyone was going to see one eventually. We even got to see a couple of Puffins on the journey to the main whale watching area.

Seabirds seen on this tour include; Gannets, Fulmars, Kittiwakes, Seagulls, Guillemots, Razorbills, Great Skuas, Eider Ducks and a couple of Puffins.
