Tour at 13:00

Report from Hafsúlan: Once again we had southeasterly winds so the sailing out was lovely and warm, we sailed straight to the areas we encountered a humpbacks yesterday but unfortunately the humpbacks had moved on. We had sailed for a long time, over half the tour had gone by with only short glimpses of swimming and flying seabirds. We did get a short encounter with a pod of 5-7 harbour porpoises which was nice but as we were starting to head back towards Reykjavík a passenger spotted a pod of white-beaked dolphins, 4-6 individuals surfacing together and even started to play under and around the boat for a while. We were also really happy to see a mother a calf, a baby dolphin that looked less than a week old. It was so cute. We stayed with these a while before continuing our journey home. It was a cold ride on the way home so most staying inside to keep warm and even ordered our speciality ´whale punch´which is hot chocolate with rum to warm the hearts. It the end turned out to be a very nice tour but lets hope the big whales will be back soon.
