Tour at 13:00

Report from Hafsúlan: the only bad side of today's tour was the swell resulting from yesterday's storm. Otherwise the sky was beautiful, the mountains were covered in snow, and we could see far and wide around. With no white caps on the water, it was optimal conditions for spotting marine wildlife. We sailed out and after a while we noticed something that the sun was reflecting on once we had sailed slightly past it. Was it the back of a resting dolphin? We stopped, turned the boat, and looked for it again but did not find it. Then we continued and around the area where we saw one of the many northern fulmar groups of the day we also found 2-3 harbour porpoises but we only saw them a few times and then they were gone. On went the search but nothing else turned up than fulmars and a few other seabird species. As a result, we decided to do what we always do at Elding in the event of a non-sighting tour or a tour where we believe that the sighting has not been sufficient to count it as successful; that is to offer the passengers complimentary return tickets so that they can come with us again at no extra charge at a later point in time and then hopefully get to see what we would have loved to show them today.
