Tour at 13:00

Report from Elding: As we ended the last tour in Hafnafjörður we sailed again from this port, it was a good thing we did as the wind was much less as we sailed out along the Reykjanes peninsula. We were surrounded by a mist along the way which gave everything a mysterious feel, then because this is Iceland it turned into sunshine! Good old crazy Icelandic weather. We sailed along the coast towards Reykjavík keeping sheltered with the sun shining at our backs. There was some great photo opportunities with the sun streaming through the clouds all day today. But unfortunately we didn´t see any cetaceans this afternoon so we gave out complimentary tickets at the end of the tour.

Tour at 09:00

Report from Elding: The wind was fierce as we sailed from Reykjavík this morning, the day previously we had seen our first Puffins of the year and the number just kept increasing today. There was a constant stream of puffins flying past the boat, this is proof that spring is finally here! The puffins were joined by their bird relatives, the Guillemots and Razorbills so we had a whole host of black and white birds around us. After sailing out to where we had been successful previously we unfortunately didn´t see and cetaceans. we sailed toward Hafnafjörður and ended the tour there in order to shelter from the wind. As we saw no cetaceans we handed out complimentary tickets at the end of the tour.
