Tour at 17:00

We headed out in a great weather this afternoon. Soon we spotted very playful harbour porpoises! They were leaping out of the water, giving us a good chance to observe them very well. After a while we decided to head further out and try to find something else. We went very far out before seeing anything, but then far away we saw minke whale surfacing, and then another one! We followed them for some time before we needed to head back home. On the way home we saw lot of diving gannets, and then suddenly few white beaked dolphins surfaced where the gannets were feeding! Really nice ending of a unique tour!

Tour at 13:00 Report from (Hafúlan: What an awesome tour this afternoon. Soon we spotted fast swimming big pod of harbour porpoises and they came very close to the boat. Further out 3-5 minke whales and a gorgeous group of white-beaked dolphins. All the whales were fantastic, came very close to the boat so all of our passengers could have a good look at them and enjoy them a lot. And the weather was the best whale watching weather we could ask for. Lots of fun to day.

Report from Elding: This tour was really good! As soon as we reached the whale watching area we spotted a Minke Whale and also Harbour Porpoises. We could follow these animals for quite some time before we also spotted the White Beaked Dolphins leaping out of the water. We could follow them some time before we even spotted some more Harbour Porpoises and at the end another Minke Whale which came really close to the boat. We spotted three cetaceans of four we can spot in the bay Faxaflói. Great tour!

Tour at 09:00

Report from Hafúlan: Flat sea and no wind, what a perfect start. But the whales were quite difficult to find. After sailing for some time searching, we finally found one nice minke whale. It surfaced a few times very close to our boat so all of our passengers could have a good look at it. We also spotted lots of harbour porpoises. They were popping up every where the whole tour. In the end we saw on very small minke whale, juvenile surfacing many times around us. So, all together, a very nice tour.

Report from Elding: We headed out this morning in really good whale watching weather. When we reached the whale watching area we spotted first a Minke Whale and short after that a big pod of Harbour Porpoises. The Porpoises often quite hard to see were really nice to us today. The leaped out of the water and came amazingly close to the boat. We spotted the Harbour Porpoises later on again and at the end of our tour we found even another Minke Whale coming really close to the boat just 10 meters away from the boat. It was a Minke Whale calf that seemed to be really curious. Beautiful tour!
