Tour at 13:00: RUNNING
Report from Eldey: Beautiful Icelandic winter afternoon, sailing out with overcast sky, no sun in sight. We had some swell during the entire tour, going up and down, but still the sea was rather flat. Half way during the tour we spotted a pod of 5-7 white beaked dolphins who we stayed with for a very long time. This individuals kept cruising around us, hiding and suddenly coming in really close. Everyone got to see this majestic big dolphins and even their white beak when they were so close to our boat. What a lovely afternoon spend again out in the bay, unfortunately no big whales this time but will try again. Until next season from me,

Report from Eldey: After canceling the tours for three days due to bad weather, we finally had the chance to go out again with almost no wind and the calming sea. We did still have quite a lot swell, but that didn't stop us from having a nice adventure at sea. We sailed out 10 nm before we spotted multiple feeding birds and fins popping-up on the surface. It was a small pod of 5-7 white-beaked dolphins. The dolphins have turned out to be difficult to observe again, so we moved on. Immediately after this we saw a fully grown adult mike whale off our port side, maybe 40 m away. We stayed with this whale and saw it surface again and again several times. In the meantime we could enjoy the company of many different bird species around us, of which the most magnificent were the feeding northern gannets. Time was up, so we had to aim the bow at the Capital. Some of us were even lucky to spot 4-5 harbour porpoises that were close to the boat.
