Tour at 13:00

Report from Hafsúlan and Elding: Once again we sailed from Sandgerði, our experience from the previous days had all been excellent from here so we had high hopes for this trip! And it´s safe to say those expectations were met, after sailing south from Sandgerði for around an hour we spotted a blow very far away. So we sailed in that direction and along with more blows spotted we actually saw a couple of huge splashes, this meant the whale was doing something amazing so we had to get closer to see it. And when we did eventually get close enough to see the whale we saw it was a Humpback Whale and it even carried on the acrobatics! It breached again when we were close to it, an amazing sight, and then for a long time afterward it would occasionally throw it´s whole fluke and rear body out of the water and then slap the water. It was a whale that clearly had some spare energy and it made for an extremely memorable tour!
