Report from Eldey: This morning started very cloudy and unsure about what the weather might bring. It was not a problem for our brave passengers because they were on the top deck all the time waiting to see this beautiful animals. When we arrived to the spotting area a pod of 5 white-beaked dolphins were feeding, seemed like a lot of fish were beneath the boat. After 20 minutes we saw our first black back of a minke whale, suddenly a big flock of birds had our attention and another 2 minkes popped up to the surface. Slowly we headed back to the harbour but another pod of white-beaked dolphins came to bid farewell to our boat. We saw them jumping out of the water and it did not matter if it was cloudy or raining a bit, our passenger had a really good time

Report from Elding: Well the weather changed today, southwesterly winds brought some clouds and a little rain. Finally the plants got a good watering as they have been a little dry over the last few months of sunshine. We sailed on choppy seas towards the same active areas as the days before, 1 hr sailing and about 10 nautical miles from Reykjavik. Minke whales were abundance and we could see them in the distance, we followed one to a flock of birds in a feeding frenzy, the minke joined in and surfaced frequently just in front of our vessel. This individual was an individual called Richy one of our regular minkes. After a little while the birds rested and the minke disappeared. We continued our search and found another huge flock of birds and two minke whales feeding. Other minkes in the distance, maybe 5-6 in total. We went searching for other species but no more was seen. It was a wonderful tour with hungry minkes.

Report from Eldey: It's funny how when we have an overcast situation like today, it's easy to forget that the sun was ever there. It's often that people call a tour a viking adventure here, but boy does this tour deserve it. The humid wind and the restless sea made it hard for us to not want to admire the brave sailors of the worlds's oceans. We searched long and wide, but were unsuccessful to find any cetaceans on this tour. We did however see plenty of bird life and most importantly the atlantic puffins all around the boat. That's Nature for you, an unpredictable goddess. To make the people feel better for not having luck this time though, we gave out complimentary tickets for another try.

Report from Elding: The wind had picked up a little in speed, and it was very foggy and we had some light rain, but our passengers had a lot of fun on the ride with a little splashing adventure! We sailed for a while and unfortunately the weather conditions made it a little hard for us to spot any whales. The whales always follow their food and we did not find any animals in the area we sailed in. But it didn't stop us from having some fun, where some of us did some fun safety training, while looking out for animals. Unfortunately we were unsuccessful in finding whales due to the conditions, so when we came back to Reykjavík we offered our wonderful passengers a chance to come back on another tour for free.
