Tour at 13:00

Report from Hafsúlan: It was a blustery day out on the bay, hence we decided to sailed out of the harbour of Hafnafjörður, a town 20 minutes drive from Reykjavík to gain shelter from the southwesterly winds. Sea conditions were good where we were and saw a pod of 6-8 white beaked dolphins. They seemed to be feeding, surfacing fast through the water from one direction to the other, staying close to land allowing us to enjoy watching them in the calm waters. After more than 30 minutes enjoying the dolphins we sailed more offshore with the winds and swell pushing us in a smooth manner. Another pod of 2-3 white-beaked dolphins appeared more offshore but it was harder to keep track of them there due to the rougher seas. The weather was incredible for this tour going from sunshine to hail, rain, snow back to sunshine. The colours in the skies was constantly changing from purples to warm orange, to blue and grey to pinks. A rainbow even presented itself quickly. The landscape was also framed beautifully by these colours. A picturesque day out at sea.
