Tours at 14:00 and 17:00

Unfortunately we had to cancel the rest of the tours today due to unfavorable weather conditions.

Tour at 13:00Report from Hafsúlan: The wind was still strong as we headed out, but the sun was out which made the tour a lot more pleasant. We sailed for a long time with out any sighting accept from some Northern Gannets that were diving. We decided to end our tour in Reykjavík and because we didn't see anything, all of our passengers got complementary tickets. Before we got the harbour we decided to try our luck in Engey, one of the Puffin Islands, even though the puffin season is over. Luckily we saw some Puffins which made us very happy, at least we got a smile on our face by seeing the beautiful "clown of the sea". Hopefully we will have more luck with the whales next time ! - Freydís´OskTour at 10:00

Report from Elding: This morning, the wind was blowing strong from the sea so we decided to start our tour in another harbour called Hafnarfjörður. When we headed out, the sea was very rough and the sky overcast. However, here and there the sund was blinking through. We traveled in the shelter of the shore for a while before we decided to head out further towards the bay. We searched for a long time, but besides some Northern Gannets we did not see anything for a long time. Later in the tour, we decided to end the cruise in Reykjavik's harbour since we would cross an area where we often find whales. Indeed, we managed to see two glimpses of a couple of Minke Whales but the sea was so rough and we did not manage to see them again. In the end, we decided to give everyone complementary tickets so our passengers would have the chance to come back within the next two years - hopefully we will be able to show you a bit more next time!

- Hendrik Schultztour at 9:00Report from Hafsúlan: The wind and waves were strong in Reykjavík and that's why we decided to go out from Hafnarfjörður where it was supposed to be a little calmer. We searched the area very carefully with out any sightings but we got a call from another boat that said they had seen a whale, but unfortunatly it wasn't found again. We headed back to the harbour in much calmer waves and gave all of our passengers complementary tickets which are good for two years and we hope that they will use them and that wild life will be in their favour the next time ! - Freydís Ósk
