✔ TOUR ON SCHEDULE  | at 17:00

Report from Hafsúlan: The strong Icelandic northerly winds were chilly this evening, We gained shelter from the mountains to allow us a smooth ride with the sun on our faces, remember to bring your sunscreen.  The beautiful weather permitted us to enjoy the views of Faxaflói bay and to observe a variety of seabirds including; atlantic puffins, gannets, fulmars, guillemots and arctic skuas to name a few.  Unfortunatley we did not have the chance to see any whales or dolphins on this tour, these wild animals sometimes can be very challenging. On the way back to port we sailed by some of our close islands to see the artwork, history and beauty. Because we didn't saw any whales or dolphins during this tour, all the passengers were invited to come back again for free within the next two years.with the hope to see these majestic underwater mammals.

Report from Hafsúlan: As the wind had picked up slightly this afternoon so we thought it best to take a more sheltered course to the north, close by the islands of viðey and Lundey and into a small fjord called Kollafjörður where we could see a few small flocks of birds feeding over on something yummy below the surface, We have been seeing a few minke whales feeding in the areas around these islands lately so we were hoping for the same today. We stayed close to the mountains Esja and Akrafjall, passing the mouth of Hvalfjörður where the boat got a little rockier. Our passengers were pro´s and enjoyed the movements. We sailed past Kjalanes and Akranes and then back towards Reykjavik. Not even a peep from a whale or dolphin this afternoon, not much food around this afternoon for them we guess. In the end we were unforunately unsuccessful so we offered our passengers a return visit for free, It was still a very lovely tour nonetheless and we had stunning views and a nice variety of birds.

✔ TOUR ON SCHEDULE  | at 9:00

Report from Hafsulan: Harsh winds and a bit of a swell provided the proper Icelandic experience through our morning tour!  Though we were able to observe 3 white-beaked dolphins (2 adults and one calf), quite close to our vessel, along with a quick glimpse of a minke whale, it was not possible to enjoy these sightings for long. As wild animals, cetaceans can be sometimes a bit more challenging to spot and keep track of, despite the crew’s experience and effort. Therefore, as tours like these are unusual and our company is very committed to offer the best possible experience, all our passengers were offered the possibility to come back on-board with us, on another whale watching adventure, for free. Hope to see them all again soon!
