Report from Eldey: The days just keep getting better and better! Sunshine filled skies, mirror like seas, a winter wonderland landscape around us and some amazing marine life made this an absolutely memorable tour. We began with our search of Kollafjödur as on previous tours but found our humpback whale to have moved a bit further out into the bay than has been usual for it. It was a bit more curious today, coming directly towards us and having a number of very close looks at our passengers. It got so close that passengers on the bow could even feel the breath of the humpback as it exhaled. We left it alone after about an hour, so as to not influence it for to long and possibly change it's behaviour, and headed into the direction of the lighthouse Grotta. And - surprise! - encountered a pod of lovely white-beaked dolphins! We haven't seen this species for quite some time so it was even more special seeing them feeding and the calf, or baby, enjoying some jumps as it surved the waves. A beautiful tour that put big smiles on many peoples faces, including mine.
