Report from Elding: This afernoon´s tour could not be more perfect!. There was very little wind to begin with and then no wind later on. Just the beautiful refections of the colourful clouds on the water. The wildlife was also spectacular with two humpback whales, at least 5 minke whales (one called Spider that we have seen frequently since 2010), a pod of 4-6 white-beaked dolphins, 3 smalls pods of 2-3 harbour porpoises and a wonderful variety of birds. It seems that teh bay is stll rich and plentiful with food for the whales and other marine life and we can only hope it will continue throught the summer.

Report from Elding: What a beautiful day to be out in Faxafloi Bay. We had fantastic encounters with a total of three minke whales over the duration of the tour. The first one was very easy to follow, so we did for about 20 minutes, enjoying the animal travelling very close to the water surface. And it came up very close to the boat a couple of times as well. Having our eyes gotten trained on what to look out for, it was much easier to spot the second individual, which we started to follow as well. That encounter was only topped by a very spectacular practise-drill of the coastguard helicopter. Definitely something we do not get to see every day on our tours. After all the excitement, we continued our search for cetaceans and encountered minke whale number 3 on our way back. As the animal was very elusive in its behaviour, we quickly decided to continue back into port. Overall this was a very exciting and definitely unique experience and I am looking forward to what our next tour might bring.
