Report from Eldey: We have experimented another roller-coaster trip for our emotions. A light snowfall was our welcoming and a westerly breeze our companion during the vast majority of the trip while we explored Faxafloi. We have spotted lots of seabirds, especially northern fulmars which seem to be in big numbers in the bay when we are in between storms. We have searched a huge area and we enjoyed a beautiful scenery with the sun shinning over the main landmarks in the bay. In the way back, we have suffered from a fierce snowstorm which disappeared as soon as we reached Rekjavik, leaving us an astonishing view from the town and surroundings. Unfortunately, we couldn't find any cetaceans today so we offered complimentary tickets to all of our passenger, so everybody can have a second chance to discover the secret wildlife of Iceland.

Birds seen during our trip: Eider duck, red-breasted merganser, great cormorant, european shag, great black-backed gull, icelandic gull, glaucous gull, black-headed gull, northern fulmar, northern gannet, little auk, common guillemot.
We will be sailing from the Old Harbour in Reykjavik today at 1 pm. There will be movement in the sea today, so if you are sensitive to sea sickness we do provide tablets for motion sickness both at our ticket office and on board. We hope you are able to join us today!
