Tour 17:00

A great tour with some beautiful weather! We stopped at Lundey (puffin island) and saw quite a few puffins and some other sea birds around the island. We sailed out on to Faxaflói and were able to observe about 6-8 Minke whales feeding around us, a couple of them very close to the boat, much to our passengers delight :) We even saw 2 small groups of Harbour Porpoises but they are quite shy and we didn't spend much time waiting for them. A really lovely tour to end the day!

Tour 13:00

Another very good tour, with exceptionally flat sea. Many birds still sitting over the surface and Minkes spotted not that far. We could follow very well two animals and since the water had a very clear color we could see both animals travelling few centimetres underneath the water and follow them easily.

Tour 9:00

It was almost no wind, sea was extremely flat, just a bit fogy. We sailed out to Puffin island where we saw many puffins already paddling over the surface, they were in large flocks and also many spotted on the island walking around. Then we sailed out to Faxaflói bay where we had very good sightings of Minke whales. There was a lot of fish out there and birds were gathering in large flocks feeding and dropping down into the sea. The whales were there, too. They were heading slowly to the birds, then speeding up and showing up underneath the flocks rolling on the right side, showing the fluke out of the water and that's happened many times. It was really good!
