Tour at 13:00

The wind had picked up allot when we headed back out today looking for whales. We sailed straight out to the same area we found the whales earlier this morning but there were no sign of them. We searched for a long time but the only thing we found were diving Gannets. No whales on this tour so we gave our passengers some complimentary tickets.

Tour: 09:00

The weather was quite nice when we headed out to Faxaflói bay this morning. After sailing for some time, a Minke whale surprised us by surfacing 40 meters in front of our boat. But only one time. So we sailed further out. In one area we spotted lots of feeding Gannets and we also spotted some blows from Minke whales. The Minke whales were not in a good mood for whale watching and it was very difficult to get close to them. Then suddenly a group of White-beaked dolphins crossed our path. They were very playful and were leaping and breaching all around us, even swimming under the boat so we could see them very clearly under the surface. It was very difficult to leave them but we wanted to find some more Minke whales. We search for some time but the only thing we found was lots of magnificent diving Gannets. Very nice tour.
