Report from Hafsúlan: On this still sunny afternoon we traveled towards Akranes in search of cetaceans. The sea was a bit rougher then in the morning, but our passengers still seemed to enjoy the free "rollercoaster ride". Since we couldn't spot any animals, we started going west into the area where we sighted minke whales and white- beaked dolphins in the morning and indeed we were fortunate again. For over an hour we had several encounters with harbour porpoises as well as minke whales. Interesting but very unusual, the harbour porpoises were not shy and elusive as they usually are. They even came very close to the boat. Overall a very good afternoon on our boat Hafsúlan.

Report from Hafsúlan: On this cloudless and sunny morning we went out from the harbour in search of cetaceans. Straight away we traveled to the area where we had several encounters the day before. It didn't take long until our first sighting. Besides several spottings of minke whales we even had a nice encounter with 2 different pods of white- beaked dolphins. Even though we enjoyed watching the dolphins leap and the whales surface, we had to go back to Reykjavik at some point. After a few last pictures we started our return to the harbour, still enjoying the beautiful sunny weather.
