With 50 lovely passengers in very good whale watching mood we sailed out to Faxaflói bay. The weather was still very nice so the only thing we needed was some whales in a good mood. Very close to shore we spotted a small group of Harbour porpoises. They only surfaced a few times before disappearing. So we sailed further out. We did not find the Minkes in the same area as they were in the earlier tours, but we sailed further out and spotted some feeding Gannets and some Minke whales surfacing around them. The Gannets often give us a clue where the whales are because they are feeding on the same kinds of fish. I guess we had about 4-5 animals, some surfacing very close to the boat. Again very nice tour;)

What a wonderful trip we got this afternoon. The weather was perfect, calm sea and the sun was shining. The whales were in a very good whale watching mood when we found them in an area with lots of diving Gannets. We also saw on our fish finder, the sea was full of fish. Many of the Minke whales came very close to our boat, surfacing many times. We could enjoy some of them less than 10 meters from the boat. So fantastic tour;)

We started this day by visiting the puffin Island Lundey were we saw many birds, mainly puffins and kittiwakes. Then we sailed out and found a big flock of feeding birds. In this area we found probably 10 Minke Whales surfacing around the boat. Some of them were actively feeding on the surface, coming up with the fluke. Then we sailed to another area were we found 2 groups of White Beaked Dolphins. This was surely a fantastic tour in perfect weather.
