Tour at 13:00

Report from Elding and Hafsúlan: We have been canceled due to the unfavorable wind direction and swell height for the last 3 days. Today, it was forecasted to be better so we took the chance to get out. Due to the forecasted westerly winds and swell height we took the decision to sail from Keflavik for a more comfortable tour. Transported our passengers at no extra charge there and back again via bus. The journey was good when traveling with the wind and swell and rocky when the waves hit the side of the boat when turning. There were a few green faces on the tour but most made use of the free sea sickness tablets offered when buying the tickets and some stayed out in the fresh air, which always helps. The weather was incredible, constantly interchanging between snowing and bright sunshine, sometimes dark dynamic clouds provided the perfect photographic background for the birds that flew past, the sun shining on their wings. We also saw a pod of 2-3 white-beaked dolphins, first spotted by Hafsúlan and then later by Elding. We got a nice look at them as they surfaced slowly, seemed to be resting, enjoying there down time before searching or chasing their next meal. A great encounter and cheered everyone up after a couple of days of bad weather. Dolphins will always put a smile on your face.
