Tour at 13:00

Today we drove our passengers via coach at no extra cost to the harbour of Keflavík where our boat was waiting to take us and explore the coastline from a different perpective. Keflavik was the only viable place to venture from today due to the storm yesterday and the left over swell (rolling waves). The sea conditions were very good at the beginning but the swell grew higher but long as we neared the end of the peninsula. Once too much we changed course and travelled with the wind and swell, it was very beautiful to sail and see all the snow capped landscape. It was strange however to not see any cetaceans. This time of year is usually very productive due to the caplin, however this is mother nature and the unpredictability of her is why we love her so. We offered our passengers complimentary tickets in the hope to have them join another tour free of charge in the next two years.
