Report from Eldey: The conditions continued to be beautiful out in the bay, we were enjoying the blue sky and even though the northern wind was quite chilly and caused some swells, it was great to be able to see the stunning scenery that surrounds Faxa bay in all it's glory. It took us only about an hour till we saw our first cetaceans. A quite large pod of 8-10 white-beaked dolphins crossed our path. They were likely resting so that we could see them surfacing really slowly and close to us for almost half an hour. Everybody who has ever seen this type of dolphins in the wild, knows how striking their coloration is and how charming their white beaks are. When we had seen them enough, we continued to take a big circle around the bay. During our search we came across at least 8 harbour porpoises divided in 3 pods. Those cute cetaceans made everybody who saw them smile. Towards the end of the tour we spotted a minke whale very closely, but lost it after a couple of surfaces before we started heading back. Nevertheless a nice, relaxing tour this afternoon.

Report from Eldey: It was a beautiful sunny morning as we set sail out into the bay, there was quite some wind which made the sea a bit swelly and the air a bit chilly but nothing too bad. After sailing for only a short amount of time 7-8 tall black dorsal fins were seen popping out of the waters surface, these could only be the beautiful white- beaked dolphins. They surface a few times before going on quite a long dive and after waiting for them for a few minutes it was decided to move on further into the bay to search for some other animals. Very shortly after we discovered out second cetacean species of the day, the usually elusive harbour porpoises. These animals were unlike the normal usually shy animals, as they surfaced many times showing us their very cute little bodies as they did so. After watching these lovely animals, it was decided to once again head further out, and our further search effort was very much rewarded with awesome minke whale. This individual surfaced many times sometimes coming up very close to the boat and only 20 meters or so way. What a fantastic way to end the tour!

On board there are heated indoor areas but we also have overalls to keep you warm out on deck. Hope you are able to join us on the search of these magnificent animals in their natural environment
