Tour at 13:00

Report from Hafsúlan: The wind had picked up a little more this afternoon, so we went east along the coast to get some shelter from the Reykjanes peninsula. The sailing was a little rougher than this morning but still comfortable. After 1.5 hours we spotted a small pod of white-beaked dolphins ahead of our path. We came a little closer to get a better look and saw them surfacing a few times in front of our boat. Unfortunately, they vanished after 5-10 minutes and we did not see them again. We were hoping to find other cetaceans as we moved on, but we did not spot any on the way back to the harbour. Even though most people got to see the beautiful dolphins, we offered our passengers complimentary tickets, so that they can come with us on another tour for free within the next two years.

Report from Hafsúlan: Today, we went out from Reykjavík again on our search for cetaceans. The wind had picked up since the last days and there was a bit of swell out there making the sailing not as smooth as yesterday. We had been out in Faxaflói for almost two hours, when we saw the blow of a minke whale. We waited for it to surface again, but, unfortunately, we did not see it. Even though we kept watching out for whales and dolphins on our way back to the harbour, we did not see any other cetaceans and offered our passengers complimentary tickets valid for the next two years.
