Status: RUNNING 1PM

We will be sailing out from Hafnarfjördur harbour this morning but end in Reykjavik Harbour. The meeting point for the tour is at the Old harbour in Reykjavik. This might impact combination tours as the tour will last between 4 and 5 hours. We are expecting a little wind from the south and some swells.

Tour at 13:00

Report from Hafsúlan and Eldey: We sailed out from out from Hafnarfjördur harbour in a snow storm, passengers were rushing off the buses and onto the vessels. Soon after leaving the snow stopped and the skies cleared for the majority of the tour. Due to the vast amount of passengers wanting to join us this afternoon we had to take out two vessels. The swells were over a meter high but they were very long and so did not feel so bad. We sailed first to the west a few miles and then northwest for a few and then back towards Reykjavik. We saw many species of seabird on our travels and even had the pleasure of a hail storm that lastes longer than we thought. Unfortunately no whales, dolphins or porpoises were seen on today´s tour but the passengers seem to have enjoyed the adventure nonetheless. We offered them complimentary tickets in the hope they will join us in the near future. Tickets valid for upto two years.

Status: RUNNING 9AM

We will be sailing out from Keflavík harbour this morning. This might impact combination tours as the tour will last between 4 and 5 hours. We are expecting a little wind from the south and some swells.

Tour at 09:00

Report from Eldey: The sea just out side of Keflavik harbour was beautiful and the scenery even more spectacular. Sun was shining but you still had the colourful dynamic clouds over the snow-capped mountains. It was hard to feel the swell at first but the further we sailed offshore the higher they became. However, because we ended the tour in Hafnarfjördur we could surf the swell all the way making it a nice enjoyable tour. Unfortunately no cetaceans (whales, dolphins or porpoises) were encountered but we enjoyed the ride, scenery and birdlife. We offered our passengers complimentary tickets in the hope that they can come again and have more luck in the next two years.
