Tour at 13:00:

Status: RUNNING

Report from Eldey: We were dreaming about conditions like today, especially that last three days we couldn't go out. We were excited finally being able to leave the harbor. The wind was just a light breeze today, sea calm and mostly flat, beside some swell. Fresh snow covered mountains recently making landscape even more pretty and photogenic. First cetacean of the day was a single harbour porpoise. Animal appeared suddenly next to our boat and few lucky passengers were able to see it. But we couldn't stop for that as we got a call that there are dolphins in front of us. It was incredible! Reunion of two pods of white-beaked dolphins, around 40 of them around us. Smaller pod was in front of us, surfacing slowly under the sun, and from our left another pod were approaching fast, with some animals jumping out of the water. Suddenly all of that stopped, and dolphins disappeared. All of us would love to know what was going under the water! We were able to find only 6-8 individuals surfacing back, but rest was just a mystery. We spend rest of the tour checking different areas of the bay but without success. Dolphins made the day!

We are sailing out from the Old Harbour in Reykjavik today. There will be some under current today, so if you are sensitive to sea sickness we do provide tablets for motion sickness both at our ticket office and on board. We hope you are able to join us today!
