Tour at 13:00

Report from Hafsúlan: It is still quite warm compared to this time of the year and the wind was not very strong so the waves were not big. The clouds made the sea surface brighter which makes it always easier for us to spot the cetaceans when they come to the surface to breath. We sailed to the area where we saw the dolphins yesterday. After a little while we spotted 2-3 white-beaked dolphins. It all depends on the behavior of these animals if we get a good look at them or not. Sometimes they come often to the surface and show themselves well but other times they can spend a longer time under water like they did today and that is when it gets very tricky for us to follow their movement. Because this was our only sighting of the tour we gave all of our passengers’ complimentary tickets so they can have a second chance with us to get a good look at these amazing animals of the ocean.

Birds seen on today's tour include: black-backed gulls, glaucous gulls, iceland gulls, eider ducks, common guillemots, northern diver, fulmars and kittiwakes.
