✔ CLASSIC WHALE TOUR ON SCHEDULE | 09:00
Report from Eldey : It was a bit cold this morning when we went out of the harbour and very cloudy. But during the tour the sky opened and we had a wonderful sun and blue sky during the way back. The sea was a bit rougher than what we were expecting with quite a high swell. We went quite far on the bay and we found a humpback whale hanging with a pod of white beaked dolphins. The dolphins were feeding but still came to greet us very politely swimming under the boat, bow riding and doing a bit the show. The humpback was not coming close and surfacing only a few times without fluke dive, maybe very busy feeding or not in the mood. The humpback being shy we preferred to let it alone and to look for something else in an area closer to the landscape, with less swell to make our passenger more comfortable. We could not find any other cetacean but many puffins were flying in the sun ant it was very pleasant to sail so smoothly under a warm sky.

✔ CLASSIC WHALE TOUR ON SCHEDULE | 13:00
Report from Elding : The weather was extremely nice this afternoon. It was sunny and the wind was only a light breeze. Despite that, the swell in the ocean was quite large and the boat rocked a bit. We had to wait patiently for our first cetacean sighting, but once we spotted a blow, the tour would fire up. We sailed closer to the blow and managed to find its owner, a relaxing humpback whale. The whale then spurred on a little bit and began feeding. We watched it for close to half an hour but decided to move away from it when other boats had arrived. Unlucky for us, it breached out of the water just as we had turned away from it, so we only heard it and saw the splashed as we turned our head. However, we were instead able to find a minke whale and a pod of about 3 harbour porpoises. The passenger then had fun watching the rich birdlife on the way back to Reykjavík in sunny conditions as we rode the waves, who had smoothed out.
