Today we will be operating on our lovely vessel Eldey for the 13:00 Classic Whale Watching tour. Make sure to dress appropriately for the tours as it is always colder on sea than on land.

Report from Eldey: Faxaflói Bay was once again so beautiful, we could all the way to Snæfellsjökull and watch the moon fall behind Snæfellsnes Peninsula. Sea conditions were optimal for spotting and for passenger comfort and the light of the sky was stunning with bright oranges in the direction of the sun and as it fell, pastel pinks surrounded the mountains. Unfortunately once again we didn’t see any large cetaceans, just 2-3 harbour porpoises by the island Engey as we left the harbour and a harbour seal by the same island on the way home. We did see some interesting birds however including: long-tailed ducks and little auks that we only see on the ocean usually in the winter time. In the end we offered our passengers complimentary tickets in the hope they will have more success on their next tour.
