Tour at 13:00
Report from Hafsúlan: We sailed out once again from Reykjavík Harbour with incredible cloud formations and better sea conditions too, even though it was still bumpy on the way out. We got to the area we saw the blows from the mornings tour and waited and waited. Eventually we could see many gannets diving in the distance in front so, we were off. We got close to the gannets and were in awe watching them plunge into waters around us. Then a Minke Whale surfaced just infront of us, 50 meters from the boat. We got a great look at the minkes on many occasions on this tour which was a great relief as the minkes were being very elusive this morning. What made the tour even better was that we know the minke Whale, he/she is called Simil Hope and has been seen in 2009, 2011 and now 2013. Simil Hope has a small notch taken out of the dorsal fin and a straight edge to the tip. We also have fantastic views of the Harbour Porpoises which were constantly showing up sometimes surfacing also just meters next to the boat. A couple of Puffins also showed up at one stage which everyone tried to photograph. Great afternoon.

Report from Hafsúlan:We had a rather dissapointing tour today. Although we saw minke whale, harbour porpoises and even a glimps of a humpback whales we gave out complimentary tickets. This is because the whales were very elusive and it was hard to get a good visual of them. Lots of birds including a puffin and gannets
