Tour at 13:00

Report from Hafsúlan: The weather was only getting better when we sailed out on the bay, the sea was very flat which always helps us in spotting these animals when they come up to the surface to breath. We decided to sail towards a flock of active birds but while we turned the boat towards it we noticed splashes not so far away. We got exited and sailed closer to try to identify the animal that had made them, it turned out to be three white-beaked dolphins. At first it was hard to follow them while they spent a long time under water but after we stopped the boat they all got curios and came towards us, they kept swimming under the boat and around us. We soon realised there were many pods of dolphins around us in more distance. We sailed towards one of them, also with three individuals and lucky for us they turned out to be equally as curios about the boat. We had loved to spend more time with the dolphins today but we were running out of time and had to say goodbye to them and hope to able to enjoy their company tomorrow as well.

Tour at 09:00

Report from Hafsúlan: The bay was beautiful this morning, little wind and small waves. The visibility was amazing, the sky was clear and the sun was still rising up giving the mountains around us glowing red colour. Throughout the tour we could spot few flocks of feeding birds and we always went towards them to see if we could find any cetaceans near them. Flocks of feeding sea birds can often be a good sign of a lot of fish and where there is a lot of fish there are more chances to find cetaceans. But unfortunately we were not able to spot any cetaceans on this tour. All of our passengers were offered complimentary tickets that they can use to get on another tour with us sometime within two years.
