Tour at 13:00

Report from Elding: We sailed out this time from our usual place (old harbour, Reykjvaik), the weather was lovely and calm, throughout the tour the sea was like a mirror and we only got a bit of drizzle at the end of the tour. It was also good in terms of cetaceans as we got to see at least 10 different White-beaked Dolphins and it was unfortunate to notice that one of the dolphins had a missing dorsal fin. We left these after a while and found a lovely Minke Whale which surfaced many times and close to the boat too. In the distance when watching the Minke Whale we also got to see a pod of maybe 4-7 Harbour Porpoises surfacing in the suns glare. There were so many birds around too Guillemots, Razorbills, Kittiwakes, Fulmars, Eider Ducks, Cormorants and many other species of seagull. Perfect also to see Reykjavik with the snow capped mountains behind as we sailed home. Wonderful tour.
