Again we saw lots of puffins around Akurey. The wind was picking up when we headed out to Faxaflói bay. And like this morning the whales were very difficult to find. We found lots of feeding birds but no sign of the whales. On the way back one of our passengers spotted one minke whale. We followed this whale for a long time and surfaced many times so we could have a good look at it, but the sea conditions were getting more rough so it was a bit like a rollercoaster ride. But all together a really nice tour.

Our first stop was at the puffin island Akurey and lucky us a lot of puffins! Than we headed out searching for whales. The weather was nice, sunny but cold. It took us most of the trip finding the whales. On the way back to the harbour suddenly one minke whale surfaced in front of our boat, and in the same area we spotted two more minke whales. Only one of them came quite close to the boat and surfaced few times. Birds seen on the tour. Puffins, gannets, arctic skua, arctic terns, fulmars, kittiwakes, guillemots and razorbills
