Preview textWe set out on a morning tour, with typical Icelandic spring weather - a bit of everything! We soon spotted a minke whale who was very active, surfacing many times. Soon after, 4 white-beaked dolphins appeared, surfing with the swell, and on the way back to the harbour, 3 harbour porpoises were also briefly sighted! In the afternoon, we had similar weather as the morning and soon spotted a minke whale again, very active as before. We stayed for a little while as it surfaced, and then briefly spotted a harbour porpoise again. A great day at sea.

Preview textWith good weather and a little wind, we headed out deep into the bay this morning in search of whales. We soon found 3 humpback whales feeding in the same area, and spent a good amount of time with them. In the afternoon, we headed out again and soon spotted a shy minke whale before continuing our search and finding 4 humpback whales likely feeding with many birds around. A great day in Faxaflói bay!

Preview textWe sailed out with clear skies and a gentle breeze, and after some searching, spotted 8 white-beaked dolphins! A good encounter with them before we headed back to land. In the afternoon, the weather remained beautiful and we first saw 50 white-beaked dolphins, and we sailed onwards before finding 2 humpback whales! We enjoyed the show before our time was running out, and we headed back to land after a brilliant day at sea!

Preview textOn our morning tour, we headed out with a wintry mix and calm seas. After some searching, we found a friendly minke whale, coming up regularly and close to the boat - a great morning. In our afternoon tour, we headed out with two boats - Eldey & Hafsúlan - and on both of our boats spotted a minke whale feeding soon at the start of the tour. We then headed out further and spotted 4 harbour porpoises and soon came back to land after a successful day at sea!

Preview textWe sailed out for our morning tour on a sunny and clear day, a nice break from the wintry weather. We soon spotted 2 minke whales but they were quite shy and elusive and surfaced only a few sporadic times before leaving, so we continued our search for signs of other animals. We ran out of time so gave our guests complimentary tickets to try again on another tour. In the afternoon, the bright sun was still with us and we soon spotted a humpback whale! We saw elegant fluke dives, and then encountered a pod of 4 white-beaked dolphins! A successful end to the day.

Preview textOn this grey & calm spring morning we set sail, with fulmars keeping us company on the way out. We soon had a brief sighting of a minke whale. It came up a few times but quickly left, so we continued searching. In the end, we didn‘t manage to see anything else so gave our passengers complimentary tickets to try their luck again. In the afternoon, the snow had picked up and we headed out full of hope. We briefly spotted 2-4 shy harbour porpoises but unfortunately nothing bigger, so again gave our passengers complimentary tickets to try again another time!

Preview textWe started the day with some bad weather conditions, so we made the decision to cancel our morning departure, for the safety of our passengers. Fortunately, the weather improved in the afternoon and we were delighted to set out for our afternoon tour. There was still some swell, and had a mixture of all weathers. Soon, we found 3 Orcas! These three were travelling together moving quickly, a breathtaking experience!

Preview textThis morning we sailed out on a typical Icelandic day with a mix of all weather conditions. We soon spotted two types of seals - grey seal and harbour seal - but continued searching for larger animals! Unfortunately, we were unlucky so gave our passengers complimentary tickets to try again another day. In the afternoon, the weather had turned for the worse, so we cancelled our tour for the safety of our passengers.

Preview textWe were delighted to get back out to sea after some bad weather days, and the sun was shining with perfect conditions for searching. On our way out, we spotted fast Harbour Porpoises but they disappeared quite quickly. Many birds were flocking around, but no signs of larger wildlife so we offered complimentary tickets to our passengers. The wind picked up in the afternoon so we made the decision to cancel the 13:00 tour, for the safety of our passengers.

Preview textWe sailed out on a sunny morning for our 09:00 tour, and soon spotted a minke whale surfacing occasionally. Suddenly a humpback whale also appeared - a brilliant morning at sea. In the afternoon, the sea was flat and we spotted a minke whale again, and soon after, a big pod of around 100 white-beaked dolphins! Already happy with this, we also saw a humpback whale before heading back to the harbour after a great day of tours.

Preview textWe left the harbour with a bit of snow, and soon spotted a small pod of white-beaked dolphins. After some more sailing, we spotted a few harbour porpoises and then a humpback whale! In the afternoon, we headed out again and soon spotted a big pod of 40 white-beaked dolphins and a humpback whale nearby. An excellent start to the tour, but then we spotted 10 Orcas, a relatively rare sight in the bay. An excellent day at sea!

Preview textWe headed out on our morning tour with some wind, but dressed up warm in our overalls to see what we could find. We sailed around the islands with many birds around, and found a grey seal swimming nearby. We covered many areas but unfortunately didn't find any cetaceans so gave our passengers complimentary tickets. In the afternoon, the wind picked up further so we made the decision to cancel the 13:00 tour for the safety and comfort of our passengers.
